I'm in Dayton right now and thought I would take the chance to play on this thing!

A lot of people have been asking and the answer is no, I'm not going to shave my head again before I leave. We'll see how it turns out over there while it keeps on growing!

12 days to go and packing is freaking me out...haven't started.

I'm going to test this out and post some pictures from this summer in Zambia! So here we go...
This picture is of Mwewa and Joseph, hanging outside of the compound. This was taken after I got malaria...and no, I will not be getting that again! (I definitely hope not!)

The picture to the right is probably my favorite picture of John, when he followed us out to Mashitolo just to see what we were up to at the other school.

Okay, the next is a video of the boys on my dad's birthday. This is what we did everyday: act silly and hit the ball around...man, I miss it!

Send me on my way

For all those who are interested in the next 27 months of my life...here we go!

19 days until I will be on my way to Uganda with the Peace Corps! The time has gone a lot faster than I thought it would, but I guess that always happens. I've been experiencing a whirlwind of emotions these days...packing is stressing me out, haven't done, but I've thought about it a great deal, the first step. But mostly I'm excited to get back to Africa after spending the past two summers in Lubwe, Zambia. Ah, the title of the blog came from Zambia as well. So many people in Lubwe told us to be free and feel free, that this was our home. The thought of hearing that in Uganda makes me so very excited!

Don't worry, I expect this to become much more interesting once I get over there...
